B(look)g at me
Blogs are starting to get a bit of a bad reputation in the media, it seems. They're seen as vehicles for people who love to hear themselves talk.
But I have my schizophrenia for that.
MY blog is for the lighter side o' life/work. Or is it work/life? Or is there life outside of work? From the beginning of what was then called my "web journal" in January 2001, I've tried to make this blog more than just paragraphs of self-loving blather.
(Or maybe I should admit to the blather part, but call it "blather with a punchline.")
But today I was profiled in our local paper, the Carmel Pine Cone so yes, I AM boasting with this entry. The Pine Cone said some REALLY nice things about me. Shockingly nice things, actually.
Of course, I don't believe everything I read even if it is about me (me, me). After reading the article I told Sally, a woman who works with me, that it makes me sound way more interesting, focused and capable than I am. After she read it, she agreed.
Actually, she agreed a little bit TOO enthusiastically. Her comment was: "Doesn't it make you hope you're like him someday?"
